Community and Surveys
Open/Hybrid Card Sort
You can now author two new types of Card Sort questions:
- Open Card Sort questions ask participants to sort cards into categories they create themselves.
- Hybrid Card Sort questions ask participants to sort cards into categories that the survey author has created, or categories that they create themselves.
Note: Open and hybrid Card Sort questions are available at an additional cost. If you are interested, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Tree testing
You can now create a Tree Test question that asks participants to review a navigation tree structure and complete a task. Use tree testing to evaluate information architecture and navigational structures, and validate the mental models you've derived from Card Sort testing results.
Note: Tree Test questions are available at an additional cost. If you are interested, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Mobile app
Alida's usability testing solution now supports mobile participants. To use this feature, choose Desktop and Mobile or Mobile Only as your Supported Devices setting when you create a Recording action.
Participants are prompted to download the Alida mobile app the first time they open a usability test intended for mobile participants. The Alida mobile app records their phone screens, cameras, and microphones as per the Recording action's settings.
Note:
- The Alida mobile app supports usability testing on websites and Figma prototypes. It does not support testing mobile apps.
- The Alida mobile app including screen recording is currently in limited beta release to UX subscribers only.
Nested logic in surveys
You can now build nested condition statements in the following places in survey authoring:
Service provider initiated SSO for member hubs
Member hubs now support service provider initiated Single Sign-on. SP-initiated SSO provides improved security for you member hub and convenience to end-users who start the authentication process directly from the Alida app when required.
Prevent member email modification in hubs
A new admin setting can be enabled to prevent members from changing the email addresses they use for hubs.
Unsubscribe option for hub emails
Each outgoing hub email now has a single-click “Unsubscribe” option at the top of the email.
