This page communicates the new features in Alida's January 2025 release.
Community and Surveys
Modern reporting
Modern reporting was one of our most exciting product releases in 2024. We're starting 2025 with new features that make it even better:
-
Weighting (generally available)
Weighting lets you adjust your report to ensure that the results of your analysis represent the target population you are studying, or to address biases introduced during data collection. -
Significance testing (generally available)
Significance testing in modern reporting supports both Z-test and t-test. Use significance testing to assess the reliability of your findings. Verify that results are not attributable to random chance, and can therefore be extrapolated to the target population with a certain level of confidence. -
More supported question types (EAP)
Modern reporting now displays data from the following question types:
- Rank Order
- Allocation
-
Recode - Group Answers (EAP)
Recategorize or exclude answers using the new Group Answer recode.
Carousel question improvements
We've made some changes to the behavior of carousel questions based on customer feedback:
- Instead of showing a new set immediately after someone completes the prior card, we've added an animated slide effect that slows the transition. This slight pause allows participants to understand that they're seeing a new, unanswered card.
- If there are unanswered sets, when participants click Next, they are automatically shown the first unanswered card in the question. They must complete all cards to proceed.
Recruitment permission update
Admins can use the new Can access recruitment surveys permission to control access to recruitment surveys by Power Users. New and existing Power Users are granted the permission by default. Power Users that do not have the permission are restricted to previewing recruitment surveys, monitoring responses, and copying existing links to recruitment surveys. They cannot build or distribute recruitment surveys.
Import participation data from external activities
If you've fielded an activity in an external platform (for example, a focus group, an in-depth interview, a forum, or a survey), you can import the participation event data into the Alida platform through a CSV file. Use this feature to credit community members for their participation.
Single Sign-On (SSO) enhancements
We've added improvements that make it easier for you to set up and manage SSO:
- Users added to the Alida platform through SAML-only SSO using the new setup method now appear in the Manage Users list with a flag icon in the listing.
- A new dropdown menu allows you to select the SSO provider during setup.
For more information, see the documentation for your SSO provider: Azure, Okta, or OneLogin.
Touchpoint
Expressive faces in Reaction Scale
You can now display a colorful, lively range of facial expressions in a Reaction Scale question. The face colors are preset to a rainbow (red, orange, yellow, teal, green) and cannot be changed.
Auto advance to the next screen
Auto Advance to Next Screen is now available as a screen rule in Single Choice questions. When this option is selected, participants automatically advance to the next screen after they provide an answer. They do not have to click a transition and submission button.
Logo element can be used in more screen types
Logos are now supported in Reaction Scale and Numeric Scale screens.
Rounded corners on transition and submission buttons
When you choose a rectangular button with text as your transition and submission button, you can now adjust how rounded the button corners appear.
