Community and Surveys
Unmoderated usability testing
Unmoderated usability testing became available in the Alida platform starting March 4, 2025. Use it to evaluate the user's experience while interacting with a product, website, app, feature, or prototype, and develop and optimize the user experience for your intended audience.
The new unmoderated usability testing functionality includes:
- A new Usability Task question type and a new Recording survey action type, both of which are key components of the authoring workflow.
- A seamless responding experience.
- Insightful and intuitive reporting.
Modern reporting
We're continuing to roll out new features that make modern reporting even better:
-
Recodes for Group Answers
Recategorize or exclude answers using the new Group Answer recode. -
AI summary on Open Ends
Summarize open-ended responses with a detailed breakdown that highlights positives, negatives, and common themes. You can enable the AI Summary tab in new modern reports. The ability to turn on AI Summary for existing modern reports is coming soon. -
Export individual responses from Open Ends
Export open-ended responses as raw data or summary data. -
Group Dates recode
Group date ranges into pre-defined groups. -
Group Time Periods recode
Create age groups based on date of birth. -
Shareable report links
Generate passcode-enabled report links to share with stakeholders. -
Allocation and Rank Order question support
Modern reports can now display data from these question types.
Survey templates now available as modern surveys
The activity templates in the Alida platform and the downloadable survey templates in the Alida Help Center are now available as modern surveys. This enhancement is part of a larger initiative to deprecate classic surveys eventually.
Mobile screen sharing for video discussions
Video discussion participants can now share their mobile screens. This workflow comprises two parts: the moderator or researcher must request mobile screen sharing from participants, and the participants must download the mobile app.
Removal of old activities
To help keep activities organized, users can now delete old or closed activities that have collected data previously. Note that this enhancement does not apply to power surveys—the behavior of power surveys remains the same (i.e. published power surveys cannot be deleted, but unpublished power surveys can).
Invite individual participants from a member group for survey distribution
When creating or editing a member filter for a distribution, users can click the Select Participants tab to select individual participants within the group as recipients. This feature used to be available in video discussions only. As of this release, the Select Participants tab is available for all activity types.
Additional fields for BHN Rewards
To improve record-keeping for those users who use BHN Rewards as their incentives program, we've added the following data points to the information sent to BHN Rewards:
- Activity name
- Communication ID
- Distribution name
- Activity completion date
