This page communicates the new features in Alida's April 2023 release.
Community and Surveys
-
Manually invite recipients in a distribution
You can now enter a comma-separated list of up to 20 emails when inviting participants to an activity.
-
Create profile variable categories, and assign profile variables to the categories, to simplify the management and use of profile variables. When you are defining member groups, or filtering member groups for invitations and reminders, you can narrow down the available profile variables by selecting the category you are interested in first.
-
Manage and export Member Hub comments and replies
View and engage with all of the posts and replies for your member hub in one location. You no longer need to check each post for activity. You can also export comments and replies for an individual post, or from all posts in the hub.
-
User sessions for Member Hub authentication
Member Hub Admins now have the ability to customize the length of user sessions. The default expiration remains one year, but the Admin can set a value between 1 day and 1 year, or alternatively when the user closes their browser. Admins also have the option of ending all existing user sessions immediately, and forcing all users to log in the next time they access the hub.
-
Scripting in surveys is now available. For this initial release, survey scripting requires the assistance of Alida's Professional Services team. The possible functionality and workflows achieved through survey scripting are also limited. Please consult the help article to see what is possible and contact your Customer Success Manager if you are interested in using scripting to modify your survey's behavior.
-
Survey exports and imports include image, video, and audio files
When you import a survey, the import process now copies over any referenced image, video, and audio files. You do not need to review and fix these references anymore, thereby increasing authoring efficiency.

New Dashboards workflow added
New Dashboards provide a streamlined experience for selecting the data for your dashboard and creating user-defined fields. New Dashboards have been re-engineered to provide greatly improved performance and real-time access to your survey and profile variable data in your dashboards. New Dashboards also enable you to edit your dashboard data sources at any time, by adding and removing surveys, profile variables, and user-defined fields.
New Dashboards are initially available by request, and will be rolled out to all customers over the coming months. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you would like to have the feature turned on.
The complete functionality available in Classic Dashboards remains available to all customers.
Touchpoint
-
Reporting is now available for campaigns. Similar to activity-level reports, campaign-level reports present three different views: Overall Analysis, Response Breakdown, and Activity Insights. You can filter data by date and device type, and export campaign data.
-
To avoid overburdening participants, you can now specify how frequently activities should be displayed in particular digital channels. Activity burden controls can be set on a per digital channel basis.
-
/activities/{activityID}/export.csv
A new public API endpoint allows you to get a CSV file with an activity's reporting data.
