Sensitive data purge permanently removes sensitive data for eligible members at regular intervals. Purged data includes members' names and emails, as well as any profile variables marked as sensitive.
Weighting will still work in reports regardless of how many profile variables are marked as sensitive. Unless a significant amount of data is purged and all the purged members happen to be part of the same activity, your weight scheme is unlikely to be affected by a data purge.
That being said, sensitive data purge may have the following effects in reports:
- Counts of particular values may change when member data is purged.
- Weighting calculations may have to infer additional data. For example, if the unweighted base decreases, the algorithm may need to weight certain values higher or use a larger effective base. The larger the sample you can provide, the better the algorithm will be at inference.
