How do I pass and capture variables using the study link? (Power Surveys)

You can pass and capture variables by appending them to the study link.

Detailed Steps

1. Create an Open End question in your study.
2. Enter a name for the question.
3. Make the question hidden.
   To hide a question, please refer to our WebHelp article on Hide a Question.
4. Add the question string at the end of the invitation URL after an ampersand (&) for value separation.
   Example link: <yourdomain>/R.aspx?o=k_O0_W8m4o&pa=a2sJdf6kl&Hidden_Question_Name
   Note: Question name in URL must be exactly the same as the assigned hidden question name.
5. Attach the answer with an equal sign (=)
   Example link: <yourdomain>/R.aspx?o=k_O0_W8m4o&pa=a2sJdf6kl&Hidden_Question_Name=Answer

The link will now save the appended value into the hidden question in the study.
