When authoring a power survey, you can use questions from other power surveys in your community. There are two ways to pull a question into your new survey, depending if you think a question will be used often or just one time.
Detailed Steps
Pull questions that will be used often
The personal library lets you store and organize questions, which you can then quickly add to a questionnaire when you are creating a study. This option is better for when you use the same question(s) across many studies.
Add a question to your library
- Open the power survey.
- On the Build page, click Edit to open Power Survey Authoring in a new browser tab.
- Go to the Questionnaire tab.
- Right-click the question, and select Add to My Library.
- This will open your Library and add the question to it.
Retrieve a question from your library
- Select the Questionnaire tab in Power Survey Authoring.
- Open the Question Library by clicking the Library button on the toolbar.
The My Library window will open on the right hand side. - Expand My Library by using the tree toggles. You will see all questions and items (Blocks, Pages, Loops, and Conditions etc), that you have added to your library.
- Right-click the question you want to add to your new study.
- Select Add to my study.
Pull questions that won't be used as often
The Question Library is best if you are looking for a question that you don't need to reuse often.
- Open the Question Library by clicking the Library button on the toolbar.
The My Library window will open on the right hand side. - Expand the Studies section by using the tree toggles.
- Expand the Study Status section (Pending, Live, Closed, Archived) where your study is located.
- Expand the desired study tree.
- Right-click question you want to add.
- Select Add to my study.
