Why do I get an HTML error message when I try to edit a question text? (Power Surveys)

When you edit question text, you may see the following message:

This message occurs because the question was created in a previous version of the question editor. This version of the editor didn't detect HTML that wasn't clean and the new version requires clean HTML.

You can either edit the HTML manually or use the steps below to fix it.

Detailed steps

1. When you see the error message, click OK.
2. That will take you to the HTML editor.
3. Copy all the content from this window.
4. Go to a code cleaning service website. We recommend using www.dirtymarkup.com.

Using DirtyMarkup

1. Paste the HTML into the white space on the right.
2. Click the Clean button on the left.
3. Copy the HTML between the body tags. It's the pink highlighted text in the image.

   

4. Paste the HTML into your question HTML box and click Update.

Now the editor is available again and you can edit your content as usual.
