How do I import data with multi-byte characters? (Power Surveys)

To import data with multi-byte characters, such as Asian language characters, you must import the data in a Unicode Text file.

Example

You would like to update the Chinese names in a Profiling Study using a data import.

Detailed Steps

1. Save the file with the names in it as a Unicode Text file.

   

2. Open the power survey.
3. On the Build page, click Edit to open Power Survey Authoring in a new browser tab.
4. Click the Imports tab and click New Import.
5. Name your import and click OK.

6. Set the File Format field to UnicodeCSV and Delimiter field to Tab.

   

7. Import your data as usual.

Tip: To test your data import, you can export a UnicodeCSV file to check the data.
