How do I rename the answer values in the dashboard visualization?

You can rename answer values in the dashboard visualization by using the Group feature. For example, if your survey collects product codes but you want to present the full product names in your charts to ensure clarity for your audience, you can group and relabel them accordingly.

Raw Data (Product Code)	Renamed Value (Product Name)
1, 3, 8	Name 1, Name 3, Name 8

Detailed Steps

1. Enter the dashboard edit mode:
   1. Navigate to your dashboard.
   2. Click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner and select Edit dashboard. 
2. Select your visualization tile by clicking one of the following options:
   • To create a new tile, select Add Tile > Visualization.
   • To edit an existing tile, hover over the tile and click Tile Actions > Edit.

3. In the left panel, find the product number field under In Use, click the three dots (...), and select Group.

   

4. In the Group By dialog, define the new field and map the numbers to product names:
   1. Enter the desired Group Name.
   2. Select the corresponding Product Number in the Group value section. 
      
   3. Repeat steps a and b for each value.
   4. Click Save.

5. In the results table, hide the original column by clicking the three dots (...) on the original product number column header and select Hide this field from visualization.

   

6. Click Save on the visualization editor screen.
