How do I sync scalar fields in datasets?

You can use scalar values to associate enumerated questions (questions with a fixed set of values) with a custom numeric scale.

Scalar fields allow you to turn qualitative responses, such as Net Promoter Score (NPS)℠¹ categories (Promoter, Passive, Detractor) into quantitative values (1, 0, -1) for use in statistical analysis.

Before creating a dashboard

Once you have created your dataset and synced it, you may want to add scalar fields. If the dataset has already been created and synced you simply need to add your scalar fields and then sync the scalar fields. 

After creating a dashboard

If scalar fields are added to a dataset after a dashboard is created, Alida staff must manually reload the dataset before the new scalar fields will show up on the dashboard.
