Export data viewed in UnicodeCSV, UnicodeCSVLabelled, or UnicodeCSVEnhanced file format will appear in Excel within a single column. You are able to delimit, or distinguish data separation, for each data point by selecting the Delimiter from the drop-down menu on the Exports page. You can further delimit your data in Excel by separating the data in the single cell into multiple rows or columns using the Text to Columns feature.
Detailed Steps
In Excel separate the data into multiple columns
- Select the first column in the file containing all the data.
- Select the Data tab.
- Click Text to Columns.
- In Step 1 of the Convert Text to Columns Wizard, select the Delimited option, and click Next.
- In Step 2 of the Convert Text to Columns Wizard, select the Delimiter you selected when you exported your data, and click Next.
Note: All of the check boxes under Delimiters should be cleared except for the Delimiter used for this file.
