You can restore a deleted profile variable by importing at least one member with a value for that deleted profile variable. When the import process is completed successfully, the profile variable is restored. All members will have their profile variable values restored as well, not just the ones who were included in the CSV file.
Detailed Steps
- Create a CSV file that contains the member's email address or member ID, and their missing profile variable value.
- Name the first column Email or MemberId.
- For the second column, use the exact same name as the deleted profile variable.
- Save the CSV file.
- In the Community app, click Community > Profile Variables.
- Click Import.
- Click Choose File, select the CSV file you created in step 1, and click Open.
- Click Upload.
