Answer behavior

Answer behavior controls the way answers appear and how participants interact with them.

• Arrange answers in rows and columns
  Choose whether you want to display the answers to Choice questions horizontally or vertically. Then select the number of rows/columns to display.
• Repeat column labels
  When creating a Grid question with multiple rows, repeat column labels to ensure question clarity and prevent confusion for participants.
• Randomize or rotate answers, columns, or rows
  Limit response bias by presenting answers in a different order to each participant.
• Add a text field to an answer
  Display a text field for participants to enter an answer. This allows you to include an Other, please specify option in a Single Choice or Multiple Choice question.
• View a response to a text field answer
  Export your survey report as a CSV or Excel file to view an "Other/Specify" answer.
• Set an answer as exclusive in Multiple Choice questions
  When participants select an exclusive answer in a Multiple Choice question, they cannot select any other answers.
• Set a column as exclusive
  When a participant selects an exclusive column in a Multiple Choice Grid question, they cannot select any other columns for that answer.
