Change a Multiple Choice question to a Single Choice question
quickly while you are authoring your survey.

In the
Edit Pane, click
More and select
.
Tip: You can also right-click on the question in the
Table of Contents, and select
.

If the question belongs to a survey that has already been
distributed and collected live data, click
Confirm to continue.
Converting the question will make existing question data
unavailable in reporting.
The Multiple Choice question is converted to a Single Choice question.
The question name changes to
Original Question Name
(Converted).
The following properties are preserved in the converted question:
- Question text and image
- Answer text and images

other/specify

Show answers
in order

Arrange
answers

Hide

Treat
other/specify text response as sensitive data
The following properties are not preserved because they are not
applicable in the converted question:

Rename the converted question.

properties, and change them as necessary.

Masking
After conversion, you may get a
Masking is invalid
error message because the latter part
of the masking condition (the
then
part) was wiped out.
To fix this issue, click the error message to open the
condition builder and select new answer values.
Note:
- If the previous
question was referenced in survey logic, converting to the current question
type may result in errors.
- If a batch
translations file references the previous question, translations for the
converted question will not be imported.
