Create and share a showreel (Video Feedback Report)

Create a showreel of video project highlights, and share it with participants or stakeholders.

Create a new showreel

1. Click Showreels.
2. Click Create showreel.
3. Type a name for the showreel, and click Create.

Add items to your showreel

• To add a whole response, on the Responses tab, click the options menu in the top right corner of a response box select Add Response to Showreel, select the desired showreel, and click Add.
  
• To add part of a response:
  1. On the Responses tab, click the options menu in the top right corner of a response box and select Single Response View.
     
  2. Highlight the part of the transcript you want to add.
  3. Click Add to showreel.
     
  4. Select the desired showreel and click Add.
• To add subtitles to a response:
  1. Click Showreels.
  2. Click Edit showreel beside the showreel you want to edit.
     
  3. In the upper right corner of a response box, click Edit.
     
  4. Click the Subtitles tab.
  5. Select a subtitle word count option:
     • 1 word
     • 3 words
     • 5 words
  6. Click Save.
• To add a sentiment breakdown, click the Charts > Sentiment tab and click Add to showreel.
• To add a chart, click the Charts tab, generate the chart, and click Add to showreel.

Move items up or down

• Hover over the control on the left side of the showreel item and drag the item up or down.
  
• Alternately, click the options menu, select Reorder, and select a new list position.
  

Add a slide

Slides let you add context, structure, and commentary to your showreel.

1. Click the options menu and select Add slide above or Add slide below.
   
2. Optional: Add text to the slide.
   1. Type the text, and click Add.
   2. Optional: In the preview area, drag the text into place or resize it.
   3. To edit the text or apply formatting, click the text in the preview area, and then click the appropriate formatting options.

      Editing options apply to all the text inside the text box.

      Option	Description
      	Bolds text.
      	Italicizes text.
      	Sets the font.
      	Sets the font size.
      	Sets the font color. Select a color from the color picker or enter the hex code.

   4. When you are finished, click Save my slide.
3. Optional: Add an image.
   1. Click Image slide.
   2. Click Add an image.
   3. Select an image from your computer to upload, and click Open.
   4. Optional: In the preview area, drag the image into place or resize it.
   5. To edit the image, click the image in the preview area, and then click the appropriate formatting options.

      Option	Description
      	Sends image to front.
      	Sends image to back.

4. Optional: Turn on Show grid to display a visual grid guide for aligning elements.
5. Set the Slide Duration (Seconds).
6. When you are finished, click Save my slide.

Copy a showreel item

1. Click the options menu and select Copy.
   
2. Click Copy to copy to the current list, or select another list.

Remove a showreel item

1. Click Delete in the upper right corner of the showreel item box.
2. Click Remove to confirm.

Finalize showreel details and generate the showreel

Once you're satisfied with the slides and clips in your showreel, it's time to polish the visual and audio details. You do this with the functionality on the right side of the showreel editing page.

• Click the layout button and select a layout option:
  • Showcase (recommended)
  • Side Story
  • Talking Heads
  • Classic
• Click the background color button and set your background color options.
• If you chose Showcase, click the transition button and set the transition between all clips:
  • Fade
  • Slide
  • Wipe
  • Flip
  • Clock wipe
  • Double wipe
  • Wipe and swipe
  • Circle center
  • Square center
  Tip: Hover over each transition option for an animated preview of how the transition looks.
• Select a background music option:
  • Boketto
  • Lagom
  • Hygge
  • Chillax
  • Rock Hype
  • Indie Upbeat
  • No Music
• When you are finished, click Create.

  The application starts generating the showreel. Depending on how large the list is, this may take a while. During this time, you can navigate away from the page. When the showreel has finished generating, the next time you return to the showreel page, you will see a notification in the Notification Center.

  

Share the showreel

Share the showreel through a link or embed code. Generally, we recommend using the share link or embed code instead of downloading and uploading the video, to avoid potential issues with large file sizes.

1. Once you're notified that the showreel is ready, click the Showreels tab.
2. Locate these controls on the far right of the showreel listing.
   
3. To modify the share settings, click Share showreel.
4. Turn on the Add thumbnail toggle to use a visual from the showreel as a thumbnail image.
5. Turn on the Password protected toggle to prompt viewers to enter a password in order to view the showreel.
   If you turned on Password protected, type the password. You'll need to share this password with viewers when you share the link.
6. Optional: Type the Share page title.
7. Optional: Type the Share page supporting copy.
8. Click Save..
9. To get the share link, click Copy link.
10. Paste the link wherever you want to use it.
    Tip: In a member hub, click Share Link and paste the showreel share link.

    To ensure the share link looks its best in the hub post:

    • Add some meaningful context.
    • Edit the title, description, and author for the share link.
    • Add a preview image.

    
11. To download a copy of the showreel as an MP4 file, click Download showreel.
