Survey themes

The theme determines a survey's appearance. However, you can create different themes for different surveys and preview them in your survey.

To make a survey theme visible to participants, set the theme in the survey invitation or the survey link. For more information, see Create an invitation and Create a new activity link.

Classic and modern surveys

The survey theme affects your survey differently depending on whether you are building a classic or modern survey.

In a classic survey, two distinctive views are available, one for desktop participants and one for mobile participants. All of the Surveys and Surveys Mobile theming elements are applicable.

In a modern survey, one survey view is available to all participants (desktop, mobile, and tablet). The survey page expands or shrinks to fill the participant's device screen. There is no distinction between desktop and mobile. Also, some of the theming elements are not applicable to modern surveys.
