How do I build survey logic based on the participant's device?

You can build survey logic based on the participant's device using the respondent variable Display Type. This variable is available for each survey.

Example

You want to include a question that only participants on a mobile device should answer.

Detailed Steps

1. From the Survey Toolbox, do one of the following: 
   • Drag the Survey Logic action to the Table of Contents on the left hand pane.
   • Click the Survey Logic action in the Survey Toolbox. 
2. Click the Survey Logic action in the Table of Contents.
3. From the Sources list, select Respondent Variables.
4. From the Question or Variable list, select Display Type. 
5. From the Select answers/values list, select Mobile.
6. Add questions or actions that should be seen by mobile participants within the Survey Logic action.
