Collections and tags

Collections organize your posts into categories. Use a tag to create a sub-category within a collection.

Collections

Collections appear on the menu bar of the Member Hub. Each collection should clearly define the posts members can expect to see. You can customize whether the ALL tab is displayed, and which collection is used as the home page.

Tags

Tags are keywords that define the post content. A post can have more than one tag and a tag can belong to more than one collection. When members click a tag, they are taken to a page that shows all the posts that are tagged with the same keyword.

You can also use tags to create secondary navigation from the collections menu.

• Create a new collection
  Organize your posts into broad categories.
• Change the name of a collection
  Change the name of an existing collection.
• Specify the roles that can post to a collection
  You can limit the users that can post to a collection based on their user role. You specify the minimum role that is permitted to post.
• Archive a collection
  When you archive a collection, the collection is removed from the menu bar and the posts in the collection are no longer available in the hub unless they belong to additional collections. Posts from archived collections are not displayed in the All page.
• Delete a collection
  Remove a collection from the menu bar.
• Add secondary navigation to a collection
  Use tags to create a sub-menu for each collection in the menu bar.

  You can arrange the order of the collections in the menu bar and specify whether the All collection should be displayed.
