View and manage Template Library templates

View and filter the templates in your Template Library, edit a template name, or remove a template.

Note: Question templates that use a display option supported in both classic and modern surveys always appear in the Template Library. However, templates that use a classic-only or modern-only display option only appear if you are authoring a classic or modern survey, respectively.

• To view the Template Library, in the right-hand pane, click Templates.
  

  Templates are listed alphabetically by name.

• To filter templates, use the menus at the top of the Template Library.
  

  Menu	Description
  All Template Types	Filters templates by survey object type. This menu only lists the question and survey object types that currently exist in the Template Library.
  Shared OR Unshared	Filters templates by status. The options are: Shared OR Unshared Shared Unshared This menu only appears if there are shared and unshared templates in the application instance.
  All Owners	Filters templates by owner. The options are: All Owners Me Other users' names This menu only appears if there are two or more users who have shared templates.

  Tip: You can combine filters to find a template more quickly. For example, if you want to find all the templates you have shared, change Shared OR Unshared to Shared and change All Owners to Me.
• To find a template by keyword, type your terms in the Find field.

  The results are based on keyword matches in the template name, question text, or description.

  
• To edit a template name, click the name field or the pencil icon and type a new name.
  

  Template names must be:

  • Unique for the template type, among the templates you own.

    For example, you can save a Single Choice question and an Allocation question to the Template Library using the same name, but not two Single Choice questions. This does not prevent another user from saving a Single Choice question to the Template Library under the same name and sharing the template.

  • 100 characters or under.
• To remove a template:
  1. Click More, and select Remove.
     
  2. Click Remove again to confirm.
