Add a tag (Forums)

Tag posts and replies during forum moderation to quickly view related posts and replies during data analysis later.

To perform this task, you must be an admin user.

Note: This task cannot be performed in mobile view.

Note:

• Tags can have a maximum of 100 characters, including spaces.
• Tags are case-insensitive. If you have duplicate tags with different casing (for example, positive reaction and Positive Reaction), they are both grouped under the tag that was used first.
• You can have special characters in your tags, but not commas or double quotation marks.

1. In a post or reply, click Add Tags.
2. In the Tags field, add your tags:
   • To add one tag, type the tag.
   • To add multiple tags, type a comma, press Enter, or press Tab after each tag.

   As you type, the Tags field displays suggested tags that match your text and currently exist in the forum. Tags that begin with your text are listed first, followed by tags that include your text.

3. Click Done.

   The post or reply has the tag or tags you specified, listed in alphabetical order.

   Tip: Click a tag inside a post or reply to quickly view all posts or replies with that tag.

   When you refresh the page, the tag cloud displays new tags and updated post counts.
