Create a new post

Contribute to a forum by creating a new top-level post.

1. In the forum list, select a forum for which you want to create a new post.
2. At the top of the forum page, click New Post.
3. In the Post Title field, type a post title.
4. In the Description field, type your post's contents.
   Note: The character limit for posts and replies is 5500 including spaces; this limit is the same for characters of all byte sizes. Line breaks count as 2 characters.
5. Optional: Format forum text.
   Note: If you apply formatting when you post in desktop view, and then edit your post in mobile view, any special formatting will revert to plain text.
6. Optional: Add or remove links.
7. Optional: Insert an image.
8. Optional: Insert a video.
9. Click Post.
