How do I pipe an other/specify option when using Carry Forward Answers?

Using Carry Forward Answers with other/specify options is not supported. However, you can use the workaround described here to create a new answer option in the target question, pipe the other/specify value, and display it as part of the answer set in the target question.

Detailed Steps

1. In the Surveys app, open the survey.
2. Create your source question (the question you are carrying forward answers from) and target question (the question you are carrying forward answers to).
   In the source question, add the other/specify option.
3. In the target question, click the options menu next to the answers, items, columns, or rows, and then select Add Carry Forward Answers.
   
4. In the Add Carry Forward Answers dialog, select the source question as the Question Source.
5. Set the Answer Criteria to Selected answers.
6. Click OK.
7. In the target question, click the eye icon next to the other/specify option to hide it.
   
8. Add a new answer option beneath the carried forward answer set.
9. Click inside the new answer option, and in the edit toolbar, click Add a Pipe.
   
10. In the Pipe dialog, select This Survey as the source.
11. Select the other/specify option from the source question.
    
12. Click OK.
    The resulting answer set in the target question should now look like this:
