Publish changes in a live power survey

After editing a live survey, republish your survey for the changes to take effect.

Note:

• Modifying a live survey may affect other features referencing the data collected.
• The Study Locked dialog appears if another user is editing the same survey at the same time. For more information, see Lock a power survey.

1. Click the App Drawer and select Activities, and then click the survey name.
   
   
2. On the Build page, in the Publish Activity area, click Republish.
3. Make your edits in the Power Survey Authoring tab.
4. On the Authoring Navigation Bar, click Validate to check the survey for errors.
   Note: You must validate your survey before you can publish your survey in Community.
5. Navigate back to Community.
6. On the Manage page, In the Publish Activity area, click Republish.
7. In the Confirm publish changes dialog, do one of the following:

   Option	Description
   To track survey data under the current name	Click Publish as is.
   To track survey data under a new name	Click Rename and publish. Type a label or version number in the Release name field. Click Publish.

   The changes that you made to the survey are live.

Any participant who has not yet started the survey will see the updated version of the survey. If a participant closes the survey before completing it, then opens it again after you publish your changes, they will not see the updated version.

If you delete a question or answer option, the deleted items and any associated data do not appear in reporting.
