You can add images to question text or answer options in the application. Follow these best practices to ensure that your images enhance your survey.
File naming conventions
Use a consistent file naming convention to make it easier to locate image files.
Recommendations:
- Include the question name if applicable.
- Include descriptive words in the name.
- Use CamelCase (capitalize the first letter of each word) for multi-word names.
- Use underscores (_) or dashes (-) to separate logical sections of the name.
- Do not include spaces or special characters, except underscores (_) and dashes (-).
Example
Q5_SleepingCat.jpeg
File size and format
Image files must be:
- GIF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG format
- 5 MB or less
- 900 pixels wide or less
Note: Community resizes and formats extremely large images; however, this
may degrade the image quality. Images that are 200-600 pixels wide will meet
most of your survey needs.
Testing with ad-blocking software
Ad and popup-blocking software such as Ad Block may prevent images from loading based on how images are named. To ensure your images appear properly, test your survey using Ad Block in a couple of different web browsers.
