Define areas in an image that link to a webpage. However, image maps are not supported in all email clients.
- Outlook 2010
- Gmail
- Hotmail
- Yahoo Mail
Adding an image map to an HTML email is not recommended.
For best results, select the entire image, and then use the Hyperlink Manager in the Editing toolbar to create your link. For more information, see Add a hyperlink.
To access the Image Map Editor, right-click the image in the Email Editor.
Limitations
Depending on the recipient's email client, the areas you define in the Image Map Editor, may not accurately correspond with the linked area in the image when the email is opened.
Example
In the following image, you want to link the cruise ship to the reservations page of your website.
When the email is opened in an email client that does not support image maps, the linked area may appear below and to the left of the ship.
