Translate profile variables in a multilingual survey

Use a Profile Action to translate and update single and multiple choice profile variables in multilingual surveys.

Example

You want to use a series of profile questions in a multilingual survey so you can utilize members' variable values at a later date. To do this, you would add a Profile Action to your survey, then translate the question and answers.

1. Author your survey in the default community language.
2. Add a Profile Action to the survey Table of Contents.
   For more information, see Create a Profile action.
3. From the Select an existing profile list, select a choice profile variable.
4. When you are done authoring your survey, click the Translations tab to translate your survey.
   For more information, see Translate questions using the locale switcher.
5. Translate the question and answer text in the Profile Action.

Note: If you are authoring a survey in a language that is different from the one used to create the profile variable, then translate the question from Edit Pane in the Profile Action.
