Avoid overburdening participants by specifying how frequently to display an activity in a digital channel. If an activity was displayed to someone recently, you can choose not to show them another activity within the specified time interval.
Activity burden controls are set on a per digital channel basis, so you can have different rules for each distribution site.
Example
On your website, activity burden controls are set to show an activity on every visit.
In your mobile app, they are set to show an activity every 5 days.
- In the Touchpoint app, click Digital Channels.
- Click a digital channel listing to open the site details for editing.
- Click Activity Burden Controls.
-
Set how frequently activities should appear on the digital
channel:
- Every Visit
-
Custom
Interval
If you choose this option, type a number and choose a unit of time:
- Day(s)
- Week(s)
- Month(s)
- Click Save.
Activity burden controls affect activities that are automatically displayed to participants Until completed or dismissed. Therefore, they do not apply to:
- Activities that are set to
show
Persistently.
This setting supersedes any activity burden control. These activities will always show regardless of what the burden controls are.
- Mobile app activities triggered by a user-initiated action such as tapping on a custom component, and set to show Persistently.
disableTracking boolean parameter that, if set to
TRUE, allows an activity to be displayed every time,
even after participants have responded. This parameter is site-wide and
supersedes any activity burden control.
- Is it set to display Until completed or dismissed or Persistently?
- If the distribution site is a mobile app, which display option is selected (pop-up, custom component, or banner)?
