To add a data table, you first define the structure of the data and then upload the data.
Note: You must be an Admin to add a data table.
- In the navigation bar, click Product Settings > Data Tables.

Click
New Data Table.

Optional:
Upload a CSV file with your data table structure.
Upload a CSV file that contains the column headings for your data table and one row of data.Note:
- If you include more than one row of data, subsequent rows will be ignored.
- If you upload a CSV file that only contains column headings, all columns will be assigned the Text column type.
- Click Choose File.
- Select the CSV file to use from your computer's file system and click Open.

Click
Analyze File.
The system parses the CSV file and fills in the column names and data types where possible:
- The system will attempt to identify any Numeric, Date, and Email column types, and any remaining columns will be assigned the Text column type.
- You must manually select and add the allowed values for the Single Choice and Multi Choice field types.

Enter basic information about your CSV file.
You can enter all of the information about the CSV file manually, or add and adjust information after the fields have been automatically populated.

Complete or edit the following fields to provide basic
information about your CSV file:

Data
Table Name: Enter the name for your data table. By default the name
of the CSV file is automatically used when you upload a CSV file.
Note: The Data Table Name cannot include spaces.
- Description: Optional. Add information about your data table to enable users to understand the data it contains.
- Column Name: Enter the name for each column in the CSV file. Click Add Column below the last column name entry to add additional columns.
- Column Type: Select the data type of each column from the drop-down list. The following column types are supported: Text, Number, Net Promoter Scoreā 1, Email, Date, and Boolean, Single Choice, Multi Choice.
- Required: Select the checkbox next to each column where a value is required for each row in the CSV file.
- Sensitive: Select the checkbox next to each column that contains sensitive data. Selecting this checkbox ensures that Alida can manage future data purge and deletion requests more efficiently.
- Record ID: Select the column from the drop-down list that contains the unique identifier in your CSV file.
- Transaction Date: Optional. Select the column from the drop-down list that contains the transaction date in your CSV file, if applicable. The drop-down list only includes Date columns.

Table Name: Enter the name for your data table. By default the name
of the CSV file is automatically used when you upload a CSV file.

Click
Edit next to each Single Choice or Multi
Choice column, enter all of the permitted values with each permitted value on a
separate line, and then click
Done.
Any Single Choice values that include commas must be wrapped in double quotes. For example: "Listened to music from physical media (CDs, vinyl)".
Multi Choice values can include commas and single quotes, but these characters cannot be beside each other. For example, "Fast food restaurants (Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's)" is acceptable, but "Movie franchises ('Star Wars','James Bond', 'Fast & Furious')" is not.
- Click Create.

information about your CSV file:

Upload your data.
Ensure that the CSV file you are uploading meets all of the CSV file requirements.Note: In some cases, it may take a significant amount of time to create the data table structure. In these cases, you will be redirected to the Data Tables page where the status of the data table creation process is displayed. You will need to upload your data when the process completes. For more information, see Upload data to a data table.

Drag and drop, or browse for and select, a CSV file that
matches the data table structure you have defined.
The upload starts automatically.
- After the upload completes, click Done.
