Create an Event Driven Survey action

Use an event driven survey action to automatically send a survey invitation based on transactional data.

Create a condition using the rules engine

1. Click Create An Action to automate an action to occur when the condition is met.
2. In the Action Type list, selected Send a Survey.
3. In the Survey field, select a survey from the list.
4. Select an invitation from the Invitation list.
5. Click Insert Variable to add a data source variable or an organizational hierarchy variable to the following fields.
   
   • Email
   • First Name
   • Last Name
6. Optional: Click Add Delay to execute the action later.
   1. Select a time frame to delay the action by a certain amount of Hours or Days.
   2. Depending on the previous selection, specify the timeframe.
7. In the Pre-fill Questions section, click Add Question.
   1. In the Question list, select a question to ask respondents.
   2. Click Insert Variable to map a question from a Data Source in the Answer field, or to pipe in a data source variable or an organizational hierarchy variable.
      
   3. Optional: Click Delete to remove a question.
      
8. On the top right of the page, save the rule using one of the following options.
   • Click Save As Draft if creating a new rule.
   • Click Save if saving an existing rule.
9. When you are ready to enable the rule, click Draft > Enable Now.
   
10. Optional: View pending actions that will occur as a result of the enabled rule.

    Below Add Delay, click Pending Actions to view the number of imminent actions. If you disable the rule, these actions will not occur.

    
11. Optional: To disable an enabled rule, click Enabled > Disabled.
