Based on the question type, significance tests are run to compare proportions, means, or both.
Choice and Numeric data are handled differently in significance testing:
- For Choice data, these t-tests are applied:
- A t-test for proportions compares the percentages of responses across subgroups.
- A t-test for means compares means based on assigned scale values.
- For Numeric data, this t-test is applied:
- A t-test for means compares the means of numeric values across subgroups.
