Deprecation notice: Stories, Sparq 1 Portals and Sparq 3 Portals

As of October 1, 2024, Alida will no longer offer the Stories feature, Sparq 1 Portals or Sparq 3 Portals with Alida communities. This decision was made based on declining usage and the availability of replacement technologies within the platform. If you’re currently using these features, here are your options after October 1, 2024:

Stories

• Dashboards within Analytics will replace Stories.
• Multiple visualizations, notes and much more can be added and shared externally with Dashboards. 
• For more information, please review our Configurable Dashboards documentation. 

Tip: We recommend creating a New Dashboard instead of a Classic Dashboard. New Dashboards perform much better, especially when large amounts of activity data are involved. For more information, see Choosing between New Dashboards and Classic Dashboards.

Sparq 1 and Sparq 3 Portals 

• Member Hubs is our current platform for member facing content and on-brand visuals and is the replacement for Portals. If you’re already using Hubs, no action is required. 
• If you need to set up a Member Hub to replace or Sparq 1 or Sparq 3 portal, note that: 
  • All customers have been provisioned with a Member Hub already. 
  • You'll need to configure the Member Hub. For additional information on configuration, refer to the Hubs help videos or the Member Hubs documentation, or contact your Customer Success Manager.
  • You can preview the Member Hub before setting it live by going to the Community >  Member Experience page.
  • Once your Member Hub is configured and you are ready to make the switch, click Activate on the Community > Member Experience page.
• If you use your Sparq 1 or Sparq 3 portal as a landing page, Member Hubs can be configured to act similarly. For more information, see How do I set up a static landing page instead of a member hub?.
