If you want to control access to data by restricting information displayed in dashboards based on users' roles in your organization, you can create an organizational hierarchy dashboard.
Detailed Steps
- Create a dataset with the data you want to use in your dashboard.
- Create an org hierarchy CSV file, select Product Settings > Data Restrictions, and upload the CSV.
You must be an Admin to complete this step. - Open the Analytics app and create a new dashboard.
- Enter a name for the dashboard and click Next.
- In Set Dashboard Access Controls, specify which users can access the dashboard, turn on the This is an Org Hierarchy dashboard toggle, and click Next.
If you don't have the org hierarchy toggle, contact your Alida Customer Success Representative to enable the org hierarchy feature. - Select Classic Dashboards and click Next.
- Select the Survey Responses template and click Next.
- Select the dataset you created for the dashboard and click Done.
The dashboard is created with an Org Hierarchy Tree visualization that enables users to navigate to different levels in the hierarchy.
