There are two definitions for Spam Trap address:
- It could be the same as an Invalid Email Address, but these accounts may be monitored by the ISP to see who is mailing to them.
- It could also be a randomly generated email address – an address that has never belonged to a real person.
Mailing to Spam Trap addresses may lower your Sender Reputation, thereby causing email deliverability issues. As such, this may contribute to having low response rates.
