When including appended data in a survey link, the data is generally stored within the survey in a hidden question. This hidden question can then be used in a pipe throughout the survey or can be included in your Entry Quota messaging for over quota participants to display the appended data.
Example
You are appending the PSID variable to the end of a survey link with values and would like to pipe this appended data in the Entry Quota's message when the Quota Target is full.
Detailed Steps
- Create a question and name it accordingly.
In this example we will use PSID. - Select the Hidden check box above the editor.
- Click the Quotas tab and click Add Entry Quota.
- Name the new quota and click OK.
- On the Quota Cell Definition page, enter the pipe for the hidden question in the Respondent Message field.
- For example, for a variable named PSID, your pipe would look like: [%PSID%]
Note: Variable names are case-sensitive. - Click Apply and then OK.
- For example, for a variable named PSID, your pipe would look like: [%PSID%]
- When complete, you are able to finish authoring your study to launch.
Note: You will need to create a unique link for each member you would like to invite into the study. The Unique links will contain the appended data that will be piped if they are Over Quota for the Entry Quota.
