Why am I seeing the message "Bad Request" when editing my survey?

If you are editing an older survey that doesn't contain pages for each question, then a message similar to below will display.

Note: This only occurs on studies that were created prior to pages being added to authoring.

Example

You would like to edit a question in an old survey but the warning Bad Request is displaying.

Detailed Steps

There are two options for resolving this issue.

Drag the question

1. Select the question you would like to edit.
2. Drag the question to a new location. This will ensure a page is automatically created for the question.
3. Drag the question back to the preferred location and make required edits.

Add a Page

1. From the Survey Toolbox, drag the Page element to the required location under the Table of Contents.
2. Drag the question that needs to be edited onto this Page.
