If you try to pipe selected answer(s) from a Scale Slider question into the text of a follow-up question, the piped answers will also include the scale value in addition to the scale labels.
You can create a recode to manipulate the text of our scales which could then be used as a pipe in the follow-up question.
Example
You have a Scale Slider question named Product_Satisfaction which asks participants to rate how satisfied they are with a product using these 5 point satisfaction options:
- Very Satisfied
- Somewhat Satisfied
- Neither Satisfied nor Dissatisfied
- Somewhat Dissatisfied
- Very Dissatisfied
A follow-up question will be asked to particpants and you would like to pipe the answers from Product_Satisfaction.
