If you try to pipe selected answer(s) from a Card Sort question into the text of a follow-up question, the piped answer show as the category label. If you need to pipe in the selected answers rather than the category you can create a recode with the answer options from your Card Sort question, and then use the recode to pipe particular answers into the text of your follow-up question.
Example
You have a Card Sort question named Product_Comparison which asks respondents to compare the product properties with competitors using these 5 category options:
- Much Better
- Better
- About the Same
- Worse
- Much Worse
A follow-up question will be asked of respondents for further insight on negative feedback. You would like to pipe the responses selected in the Product_Comparison question into the follow-up question.
