How do I update a mask that's out of sync? (Power Surveys)

When the source question of a mask is updated, the mask becomes out of sync in the masked question.  You can update a mask by doing either of the following: 

1. If the study is still pending, you will need to remove the mask from the masked question and re-add it.
2. If the study is live, the question would need to be hidden and a new one created with updated masking using scripting. A recode can be created to merge the data from both questions for reporting purposes.

Detailed Steps

Update mask in a pending study

1. Select the masked question from the questionnaire tree.
2. Click Remove.
3. Click Save.
4. Select Mask option to add the mask again.
5. Click Save.

Update mask in a live study

Note: It's not possible to update the mask manually in a live survey. Instead a new question can be created and a script can be applied for the masking.

1. Select the masked question from the questionnaire tree.
2. Right-click on this and select Hide.
3. Create a new question for masking.
